Not disputing the veracity of what went on prior to WW2 within the Jewish community playing a significant role for what ultimately unfolded, however the harsh religious perspective concerning the causes tends to come from a smug "our BS don't stink" attitude. Would have more respect for that stance if there was also self-honesty to fairly apportion some of the blame upon themselves in not living up to expectations or falling short of the Golden Rule principle as related in previous episodes (without engaging in undue self-flagellation or farrakhaning), instead of unwittingly (one would like to believe) rubbing salt in the wound towards survivors, their descendants and those who lost (or are alienated) from their faith. Many of the survivors likely been previously religious or traditional.

Additionally in a foreshadow of recent years nonsense by those who in the present largely failed in their duty towards looking out for their followers health and welfare, that view downplays the part played by a similarly sclerotic religious leadership to actually lead with integrity (by heeding the warnings promulgated by the likes of Jabotinsky and others*). Which as a consequence of failing to rise to the occasion and take the initiative in emulating the example of the Perushim and others prior to WW2 (ideally should have happened much earlier before the First Aliyah), led to the early secular Zionists being given the mantle of leadership by Hashem just to further along the Geulah process.

*- One of the purported arguments have heard for leaders not encouraging their communities to flee or make Aliyah pre-WW2 was due to concerns about their followers becoming secular and it being effectively equated to spiritual destruction, which while not without valid basis (particularly against typically religious Mizrahim in the early years of the state) does not account for the profound impact the spiritual revival of Baal Teshuva movement had in the aftermath of 67 and beyond.

William Davidson was an internationally recognized businessman and lifelong philanthropist who cherished above all else his family and his Jewish heritage. Throughout his life, he supported projects and organizations that preserved and enhanced Jewish life and continuity. From his parents he learned that success in business provides the means for helping others. This family philosophy shaped his life.

An expert in making troubled companies profitable, he transformed a struggling, family-owned automotive-glass fabricating firm into one of the world’s largest manufacturers of architectural and automotive glass. He also was the owner of several professional sports teams, including the Detroit Pistons basketball team. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he earned his bachelor of business degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Wayne State University.

In 2005, he established the William Davidson Foundation, a private, family foundation to advance for future generations the economic, cultural and civic vitality of Southeast Michigan, the State of Israel and the Jewish community. “One of the secrets to a fulfilling life,” he once said, “is to be able to do things for other people.” To commemorate his life and extend his spirit of generosity, the Talmud, as translated in English and Modern Hebrew by Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz, is now accessible to all.

Why not interview Rabbi Manis Friedman on your show too? How is the world getting more moral? Let's ask him......BTW, did you hear him give advice to one of his "followers" to avoid giving vaccine to child at all costs. Interviewing him about his position relative to homeopathy would be interested too.
